2024 Scholarships & Bursaries
Applications are now being accepted for the 2024 Regimental Scholarships and Bursaries.
The application deadline for the Charbonneau, Regimental, and Mitchell awards is Friday, April 5, 2024.
The application deadline for the Trooper Tommy Baker award is Monday, April 15, 2024.
Criteria for each award is as follows:
The Captain Arnie Charbonneau, MC Scholarship has been established to be awarded to an athlete of outstanding skill and demonstrated teamwork from the Regimental Family of the King’s Own Calgary Regiment.

The Regimental Funds Foundation has established a bursary or bursaries to be awarded to deserving applicant(s) from the Regimental Family who have been effective members of the Regiment, 2512 King’s Own RCACC, 1910 Pte Pattison, VC RCACC or committed their time to support the Regimental Family’s activities.

The Honourary Colonel (Ret’d) Douglas Mitchell Award was established to award a bursary to a graduating high school student that is a current member of the King’s Own Calgary Regiment, 2512 King’s Own RCACC, or 1910 Pte Pattison, VC RCACC.

Trooper Tommy Baker Snortin’ Norton Award. The award will be presented to the student who best exemplifies the valiant and intrepid character of Tommy Baker, and his qualities of brave and informed decision making, ownership of outcomes, inspirational leadership, and being a provider of results. The successful candidate will be a hard-charging team player who
is accountable, lifts the spirits of his or her colleagues with his or her own positive attitude and good humour, and who leads by inspiring loyalty, rather than by imposing authority. Application deadline is April 15, 2024.
