The King’s Own Calgary Regiment is a reserve armoured unit that can trace its history back over a century of service in Calgary. We fought as infantry in the First World War, became tank crewmen in the Second World War, and more recently have provided armoured vehicle and reconnaissance crews for operations in Afghanistan and the Balkans. We’re proud of our past, but focused on the future, and preparing crews for Canada’s next missions, wherever they may be.

The King’s Own Calgary Regiment is comprised of ordinary Albertans like you, who like to do extraordinary things. We live, work, and/or study in Calgary; we’re raising our families here; and we’re proud to be your neighbours. We take pride in serving part-time in our community and being ready to protect Canadians at home or abroad if needed.

We have an experienced cadre of combat veterans who have served in Afghanistan, the Balkans, and in other places around the world, and are training a new generation of Canadian soldiers.
